DAVID BYRNE – CONSULTANT & COACH

Steeped in the Irish automotive sector and bringing an unparalleled degree of expertise and experience to the business, David’s career to date has seen his work span across Independent, Wholesale and Retail sectors. Previous roles include, Sales Executive, Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Managing Director, Group Managing Director, Head of Sales and Group Sales Director.

His experience to date has seen him work in leading businesses such as Merlin as Managing Director, Irelands oldest Ford Dealer and Honda Mitsubishi & Volvo franchisees as Group Sales Director in Motorpark in Galway, Athlone & Sligo and also part of the leadership team in Joe Duffy Group, Irelands largest motor dealer, responsible for their sales operations in the biggest Audi Terminal in the country.

David holds a BA in Business (IT & Spanish), a BBS (Hons) in Business & Information Systems and MBS in Strategic Management & Planning from Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business, UCD.

During his career to date, David held directorships across a number of motor related businesses. David has led his teams to numerous awards such as Deloitte Best Managed Companies & one of Irelands best workplaces with the Great Place to Work Institute along with a SIMI Innovation of the Year award.

David is a part-time lecturer in the School of Business at Institute of Technology Blanchardstown where he specializes in Business Psychology & Behaviour.

David has been previously elected to sit on boards and councils including the governing body of Institute of technology Blanchardstown. He has also worked with DIT on design and building course content for IBEC accredited programs along with sitting as an external specialist for course reviews at Honours Bachelor level.

 

CONOR FITZPATRICK – SENIOR CONSULTANT

Conor has over 18 years management experience in the automotive sector, most notably with Volvo Car Ireland where he worked from 2004 to 2017. His experience spans sales and aftersales and has a proven track record in the commercial development retailers from a manufacturer perspective. Management positions held include: Aftersales Development, Field Sales, Dealer Performance, Dealer Development, Head of Network and Head of Sales.

Within these roles Conor has developed expertise in the commercial development of an automotive retailer business within a franchise environment. His experience includes the commercial application of reporting systems, resource & capital management, training & development, used car management, sales performance management and Customer Experience improvements.

Conor holds a B.Comm (Economics and Business Management Systems) from NUIG, a MSc in Information Technology, from the Irish Management Institute.

In the course of his career Conor has taken an innovative but pragmatic approach to meeting the challenges of throughput in a dynamic business environment. He pioneered the development of Inter Dealer Comparison reporting within a multi-franchise environment for the Irish market with both ASE and SBS. He spearheaded the development of Volvo’s PCP – the first premium brand PCP with a non-captive financial institution. He also oversaw the developed and implementation of Volvo’s used car program tailored for the Irish market.

Conor is an advocate for the enabling power of profitable retailers in the promotion of volume throughout and customer experience.

 

 

CLAIRE NOONAN (ACCA) – SENIOR CONSULTANT

Claire has 15 years experience in the Irish Retail Motor Industry where she has held a number of senior management roles with Irelands largest retail motor groups.

Her career to date has seen her work in roles as Financial Accountant, Group Vehicle Administration Manager for Joe Duffy Group, helping them to grow and develop a unique sales administration process across 14 brands, and most recently Group Operations Manager of Connolly Group in the West of Ireland.

Claire holds a BA in Law and Accounting from the University of Limerick, is a Qualified Accountant and also has completed Applied Project Management from the University of Limerick. She is currently completing a part time Masters in Wok and Organisational Behaviour through the University of Limerick.

Claire has extensive experience in using Dealer Management Systems , including CDK , providing staff training bespoke report writing, Daily Operating Control systems and Inventory Management Systems. and has experience with  numerous Manufacturer IT systems, BMW, VW, Audi, Landrover, Audi, Volvo, Kia, Mazda, Opel, Ford, Porsche, SEAT, Mercedez- Benz, Renault.

She also has experience in set up and Operation of Used Car Dealerships.

Claire specialises in identifying gaps within the core business processes and working with all the stakeholders to ensure solutions are not only planned but realised ensuring an efficient dealership process to deliver efficient cashflow performance.
